Snow Totals Cause State of Emergency In Pennsylvania and Delaware


High snowfall totals due to a bizzard-producing Noreaster caused a State of Emergency in Pennsylvania and Delaware today. The bad weather conditions from a major winter storm that came into the Mid-Atlantic region and hit Pennsylvania caused thousands to lose electricity.

High snowfall totals emergency was declared at 6:30 am, as 60,000 people in Allegheny County are without power, and fallen trees and downed electric lines have make road travel unsafe, and in some cases impossible. (more…)

Discovery Middle School Shooting: 14-Year-Old Shot In Head

A ninth grader was shot today by another ninth grader at Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama, and has been transported to a local hospital, the school announced.

The boy was shot while walking down a hallway near Discovery Middle School shooting area and arrived at Huntsville Hospital around 2:20 p.m.. He is said to be in extremely critical condition.

The victim has been identified as 14-year-old Todd T. Brown.

Discovery Middle school released the following statement:

Discovery Middle School Shooting – Today, a ninth grade student at Discovery Middle School was shot by another ninth grade student. The shooting victim has been transported to the hospital. The alleged shooter is in police custody. No other students or faculty members at Discovery were harmed by the alleged shooter. Discovery Middle School students will be dismissed at regular time.
