A ninth grader was shot today by another ninth grader at Discovery Middle School in Madison, Alabama, and has been transported to a local hospital, the school announced.
The boy was shot while walking down a hallway near Discovery Middle School shooting area and arrived at Huntsville Hospital around 2:20 p.m.. He is said to be in extremely critical condition.
The victim has been identified as 14-year-old Todd T. Brown.
Discovery Middle school released the following statement:
Discovery Middle School Shooting – Today, a ninth grade student at Discovery Middle School was shot by another ninth grade student. The shooting victim has been transported to the hospital. The alleged shooter is in police custody. No other students or faculty members at Discovery were harmed by the alleged shooter. Discovery Middle School students will be dismissed at regular time. The star-studded SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti., taking place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, is airing on MTV, BET, VH1 and Centric, but you can watch the entire SOS Saving Ourselves: Help for Haiti. streaming live right here.
Hosted by Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell Williams, the event is set to feature performances by Drake, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Nas, Ludacris, Robin Thicke, Mary J.
