2010 NFL Combine Results: Jarrett Brown Stands Out in Quarterback Group

West Virginia quarterback Jarrett Brown told the media that no other quarterback could out-throw him at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier in the week and thus far, he has been correct.

With so many eyes on Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike, Brown has been the impressive one so far in the various throwing drills in Indianapolis.

Brown’s measurements have him standing at 6′2.875″ and 224 pounds which is a very good for the current “standard” for NFL quarterbacks.

His hands were the second biggest at 10″ and is very important when it comes to the grip on the ball when throwing.

Also, Brown ran an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.53, which is the fastest time among all quarterbacks.

Manchester United beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Wembley Stadium. A great game saw us land a nice touch. Manchester United beat Aston Villa to win the Carling Cup- 2-1. Michael Owen equalised an early Villa penalty then was replaced by Wayne Rooney.

Wayne Rooney’s superb second-half header won the Carling Cup final for Manchester United as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 in Sunday’s final at Wembley.

Wayne Rooney enjoyed less rest than his manager intended but the Manchester United substitute will still have felt wholly refreshed by his winner in the Carling Cup final. In the 74th minute, he completed his side’s comeback with an exact header from Antonio Valencia’s cross that was just beyond the reach of Brad Friedel in the Villa goal. Three minutes later Rooney, following more service from Valencia, nodded against the woodwork.

USA vs Canada Gold Medal game ready to start a little after noon EST on Sunday, the United States and hopes fans for another great performance for the hockey team. Both teams have great victories, so a fast start in today’s game could be the key for any team to earn the win. Canada defeated Russia 7-3 at the quarter-finals, while the team won USA Finland 6-1, each scored six goals in the first period.

USA will be looking for goalkeeper Ryan Miller to continue his cease-fire impressive, because it displayed in all parts of the Winter Games. Miller stopped 98 of the 103 shots taken in the face to help USA to stay in control and win the match. To commit a crime, it may be possible to look at Zach Parise, who scored 4 goals / 3 assists, and Brian Rafalski of 4 and 4 to lead USA to win.

Olympic Closing Ceremony Will Feature a Star-Studded Concert

It’s been an enjoyable two weeks, but the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics are coming to an end today. While Natalie Imbruglia and Bryan Adams headline the Games’ Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony promises to be an even more star-studded affair, featuring Neil Young, Avril Lavigne, Michael Buble, and Shania Twain, amongst others.

2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony will take place Sunday evening, immediately following the gold medal hockey game between Canada and the United States. It will kick off at 8:30pm EST on NBC, but will be tape delayed in the US for the West Coast.

Organizers promise a few surprises during the closing ceremony, so be sure to tune in tonight.

Move Your Money Campaign

Move Your Money is a campaign launched by American University students, other universities and financial institutes in Washington Dc to assist local communities to develop businesses and overcome the gross wealth inequality in the city.

The idea is to move some of the university’s $312 million endowment money to local financial institutes like local banks and credit unions which will lend out to help local businesses and help revitalize the community. Specifically the students are campaigning to move 5% of the cash assets from the school’s endowment into Community Development Financial Institution like the City First Bank.

Move your money in Washington is not a lone event. Actually in some other cities a similar move has been initiated.

In New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has pledged to move 425 million of municipal tax dollars to local credit unions.

VIDEO Hawaii Small Tsunami 2010

Hawaii was on alert after tsunami warning issued. It was expected that the waves will be 3 to 4 feet high. In reality the size of the waves were much higher then this. The tidal waves generated after the earthquake in Chile caused tsunami.

Tsunami warning was immediately issued after the quake. It was expected that tsunami waves will hit the near costs early and might also hit the distant coasts. The magnitude of the earthquake was 8.8 and its intensity is 1000 time more then the earthquake of Haiti. The destruction in Chile is less then as compared to the destruction in Haiti.

In the video it is clear that sea was calm before the first tidal wave hit the shore. The warning issued in Hawaii has been lifted after they observed that the intensity of the tidal waves was much less then it was expected in the start.
